Flight Sim Pro, Seat & Stand
I have to say having this now for just about 2 weeks and using it everyday, i have some mixed concerns and delights. It took about 3 hours to assemble both stand and seat, but i did not use all options in my build and converted a few things. The steel used is certainly strong, and perhaps in some circumstances TOO STRONG AND OVERLY HEAVY. Take the keyboard platform. I am not aware of ANY keyboard that warrants such a solid and heavy stand. Certainly the frame needs to be strong and sturdy, but some of the add on, perhaps would benefit from lighter construction. The Nuts, bolts Washers and tools are a plenty and i have loads left, but Next |Level Racing, you MUST design a better way of storing these. Currently they are in a sealed plastic sheet, which is made of that annoying rigid plastic that cut cut your hands to ribbons as you try extract what you want. Perhaps Plastic bags?? The left hand side throttle/stick stand has been designed to swivel in and out to ease access into the frame......WHY NOT RIGHT HAND SIDE??? i can't use the left side because of positioning in my room, so i have to crawl in and out of the seat and not simply step out if i could use the left side?? Come on Next Level Racing. I miss Seat Arms......And these have none, so a long commercial flight of anything over an hour means your body aches as you can't simply lean on an arm for comfort. I have ordered some arms from a chair company, and hope to try retro fit them when they arrive tomorrow. A HUGE OVERSIGHT IN THE DESIGN. Ask a real Airline pilot to fly a flight with his/her seat arms in the up position!!!!!!!. I suggest adding Folding height adjustable arms to the design. So am i disappointed, Yes a bit, but the combinations of what you can do with this setup is amazing, but some real oversights by the designers. Is it work nearly £1100? NO!, but YES if my suggestions above could have been incorperated into the design and build.
